Scenic Drive (usually the weekend before Christmas)
More than 100 people start at 5 a.m. with a truckload of sand, putting together more than 4,000 luminarias every three feet all the way up Scenic Drive. The display, which has taken place since 1992, is a gift to the city from Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe, El Paso's nonprofit network of health and community centers. Canned goods are collected to be distributed to needy families for Christmas dinners.
Country Place (just across the Rio Grande on the right off Country Club)
Turn right off of Country Club onto Hunters Glenn and experience over a mile (round trip) of luminarias lining the median. This is a neighborhood far from the street lights of El Paso and the viewing of these luminarias is spectacular.
Luminarias by the Lake at Keystone Heritage Park (4200 Doniphan near intersection of Doniphan and Frontera)
Stroll through Keystone Heritage Park with hundreds of luminarias illuminating these historic wetlands. This event features musical entertainment with holiday refreshments available for purchase. Memorial luminarias are available. This display requires an admission fee.
Los Nogales Acres (off of Mulberry near Lincoln Middle School)
Make the loop around La Estancia circle then pause by the lake to view luminarias shimmering off a Santa Fe style home and the Franklin Mountains in the background.
